Grip on the Ball

Nike Gripknit is a grippy material that provides better ball control. The shoe offers more surface area so you can better control the ball while dribbling at high speed or finish a play with a shot on goal. It adapts to the shape of your foot and provides equally good grip in both wet and dry conditions. The fit is similar to that of a track and field shoe. The micro-molding structure with Gripknit hugs your foot to enable even better ball contact.

Snug Fit

The full-length Flyknit upper was developed for high speed. The quarter panels feature an incredibly lightweight and strong Flyknit (also known as Atomknit) that reduces weight and increases support. The U-shaped collar provides the adaptable Flyknit that our players love and trust. Gripknit, Atomknit, and Flyknit together form the thinnest upper in Mercurial history, bringing you closer to the ball and reducing break-in time.

Reliable Traction

The wavy traction pattern with cascading studs ensures more of the Air Zoom unit contacts the ground, providing stable support. The largest stud in the series is as tall as our proven middle studs, so traction is not compromised. We combined the wavy traction with redesigned chevron and blade studs to enable quick acceleration stops.
