The American company SKECHERS was founded in 1992 in Los Angeles by Robert Greenberg. SKECHERS USA Deutschland GmbH is a subsidiary of SKECHERS S.à.r.l. and SKECHERS USA, Inc. The company originates from the USA and is headquartered in Manhattan Beach, California. It is listed on the New York Stock Exchange and sells its products in more than 100 countries. The German head office is located in Dietzenbach near Frankfurt in Hesse, with additional showrooms and brand-owned stores across the country.

SKECHERS designs, develops, and markets a wide range of lifestyle footwear for men, women, and children, performance running shoes, as well as lifestyle and performance apparel and accessories for both men and women.
