THE JAKO BRAND

JAKO is a German manufacturer of sports equipment and sportswear. The family-owned company from Hollenbach in Baden-Württemberg is now run by the second generation, sisters Nadine and Yvonne Sprügel.

WHAT MAKES JAKO SPECIAL

JAKO stands for “WE ARE TEAM” – in close cooperation with its retail partners, JAKO specialises in outfitting clubs. Sustainability and fairness play an important role not only on the pitch but also in the production of sportswear.
The core of the collection consists of the so-called Teamlines, which allow every team – from local leagues to the Bundesliga – to be outfitted uniformly and individually.
The entire JAKO collection includes more than 50 colours and features a comprehensive sizing concept ranging from 104 to 5XL.
All textiles can be customised by retailers – for example with club crests, player numbers, or sponsor logos.

ORIGIN AND HISTORY

In 1989, Rudi Sprügel founded JAKO Sportartikelvertriebs GmbH in a garage in Stachenhausen. His first goal: to supply all clubs between the rivers Jagst and Kocher – the namesakes of the brand – with jerseys and training suits.
This mission continues to this day, although the customer base is no longer limited to Sprügel’s home region.
JAKO is the official outfitter of Bundesliga top team Bayer 04 Leverkusen and the traditional Baden-Württemberg club VfB Stuttgart.
Worldwide, more than 100,000 teams in over 50 countries play in JAKO kits.

TARGET GROUP

JAKO offers the perfect range for teams and the ideal gear for every team athlete.
Runners, fitness enthusiasts, and recreational athletes also find the right styles in JAKO’s diverse range.
Most JAKO teams are active in football, but JAKO is now a brand in demand across many sports.
JAKO always strives to be the optimal outfitter and partner for all teams.

SPECIAL PRODUCTS AND TECHNOLOGIES

JAKO is pure team sport! The JAKO Teamlines impress with a lifespan of up to 5 years.
In addition, the sportswear manufacturer from Hollenbach offers more than 350 items in its team sport range with up to 38,000 product variants.
JAKO products are characterised by high-quality functional materials and are complemented by a comprehensive colour and sizing concept.

Order like the pros! The JAKO Teamshops are the digital link between retailer and club.
With just a few clicks, a customised webshop can be created, showcasing the club collection with matching colours, customisations, and prices.
Club members can order directly from the retailer. The process is fully digital.

With CORPORATE TEAMWEAR, JAKO enters a new market.
The professional teamwear for work and leisure includes two newly developed Teamlines: ORGANIC and DOUBLETEX.
Fairness is a key value at JAKO – not only in sport.
That’s why JAKO chose sustainable organic cotton for the ORGANIC Teamline.
DOUBLETEX, on the other hand, is a fabric designed for peak performance.
With this exclusive material blend, JAKO transfers top-level sports performance to teamwear for work and leisure.

SUSTAINABILITY

“Our Team for a better World.”

Coming from team sports, JAKO knows that sustainability cannot be achieved alone.
Responsible use of resources, good working conditions along the supply chain, and many other factors determine our future.

We can only improve all of this together. Sustainability is teamwork.

That’s why JAKO has created its own platform for this important topic: "Our Team for a better World".
There, JAKO aims to inform, motivate, and connect.
Clubs, partners, and retailers can contact JAKO via the platform and share their ideas and projects.

Together, we can make the world more sustainable every day.
